For this first gathering, Avi invited a dozen wellness business owners to gather for a one-time, experimental mini-retreat to reflect on their business journeys, connect, and walk away with tangible insights. It went so well that everyone suggested it become a regular event, and Wellness Business Owners was born! See a recap of the event on Instagram.

“Over the last year or so, a random idea to host a gathering for wellness business owners here in Maine kept intuitively creeping forward in my mind.

I not only nerd out on wellness and personal growth myself, but I love self-employment and the niche of wellness business clients I support through marketing, operations, and strategy at Avi Fox Creative.

Recently, after doing my Reiki certification and starting to weave that into my repertoire, I’ve been craving more community with other wellness business owners. They’re just the coolest people, in my opinion.

So, yesterday, I spun this all together and hosted a little group I called the Maine Wellness Business Owners Circle.

Wellness business owners are a fun group to gather with because they have a unique awareness of personal growth and health that not everyone has. I thought it would be cool to get everyone together in one space to step back from our businesses, do some big-picture reflection and intention setting, and offer each other peer support.

I was overwhelmed by the response. Dozens of people expressed interest and 13 were able to join us at @EastPine.Maine.

The day included:

- A guided meditation "Vision Quest" I created to facilitate reflection on wins, challenges, and our inspiration for the future.
- Dedicated time for journaling and self-reflection.
- Small group sharing, advice, and peer coaching.

I am so excited that folks found so much value in the gathering ...and are encouraging me to make it an official group and a regular thing! There is definitely energy to do this more...and I'm excited to see where it goes.
