Just like our bodies respond to the season, our businesses have their own rhythms too. Summer is the time to dream big, build momentum, and bring your next vision into focus. Sometimes the best way to access that expansive energy is to get outside, get moving, and get a fresh perspective from people who get it.
The Gathering: Join us for an afternoon centered around dreaming forward. We'll gather at Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth for:
A grounding meditation visualization to identify your next area of expansion and call in abundance and momentum
Peer coaching while we walk to brainstorm, build energy, and gain fresh perspectives on your next big move
A closing ritual to plant seeds of intention and integrate the energy and insights from our time together

Where: Gilsland Farm Audubon Center, Falmouth, ME — just 10 minutes outside of downtown Portland on the coast. We will meet in the parking lot area near the trailhead.
When: Wednesday, June 17 @ 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Cost: $10 - $30 sliding scale
Bring: Comfortable walking shoes and water.
WEATHER: If we end up getting rain, the event will still take place and will relocate to the Pond House in Gray, Maine.

A Mini-Retreat for Mental Health & Wellness Providers
Do you find yourself still "holding space" long after your last session ends?
In the world of mental health and wellness, the relationships we tend are professional, yet deeply personal. We often carry the emotional residue of our clients' stories into our cars, our homes, and our personal relationships. It is easy for the "practitioner hat" to become a permanent fixture, making it difficult to remember where the work ends and the human begins.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Avi Loren Fox (Business Strategist & Reiki Practitioner) and Emily Pettengill (LCPC/LMHC) invite you to an afternoon dedicated to the person behind the professional. We have designed this space for those who support others—therapists, nutritionists, OTs, and wellness practitioners—to unburden, reflect, and reclaim their personal identities.
The Gathering: Join us at East Pine Plant Shop for a 90-minute mini-retreat designed to help you move from "doing" to "being" through:
A Grounding Visualization: We will lead you through a guided inventory of the emotional energy you are currently harboring. We’ll identify where your boundaries are strong and where they have become porous, exploring the challenges and strengths of the connections you sustain.
Reflective Journaling: Identifying what you want to "leave at the door" and the human identity you want to consciously nourish…and how.
Peer Connection: Small group processing to share tactics and find communal validation with others who understand the unique mental load of this work.
A Release Ceremony: A closing ritual to symbolically shed the professional weight and integrate a renewed sense of self to carry back into your personal life.

Where: East Pine Plant Shop, 213 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, ME.
When: Thursday, May 21, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Cost: $45 (Includes herbal tea, use of meditation cushions, blankets, and all ritual materials).
Capacity: Limited to 18 participants to ensure an intimate and supportive container.
Liability & Rules: By attending, I release Avi Loren Fox LLC (DBA Avi Fox Creative and Wellness Business Owners), event collaborators, and the Event Venue from any liability for injury, loss, or damage. I assume all risks and agree to abide by all rules and regulations set by the organizers and the venue. In an emergency, I authorize necessary medical treatment.
Photo Release: I consent to being filmed/photographed for promotion. (I will notify the facilitator at the start of the event if I wish to opt-out).
Refunds & Illness: Tickets are non-refundable but transferable to another wellness business owner (email hello@wellnessbusinessowners.com). If you are sick, please stay home and email us to discuss a path forward.
Agreement: Purchase of a ticket constitutes a binding agreement to these terms for myself and my heirs.

Peer coaching while we walk to gain multiple perspectives while moving that energy
A closing ritual to release what no longer serves us and integrate new perspectives that feel helpful.

The First Gathering
For this first gathering, Avi invited a dozen wellness business owners to gather for a one-time, experimental mini-retreat to reflect on their business journeys, connect, and walk away with tangible insights. It went so well that everyone suggested it become a regular event, and Wellness Business Owners was born! See a recap of the event on Instagram.
“Over the last year or so, a random idea to host a gathering for wellness business owners here in Maine kept intuitively creeping forward in my mind.
I not only nerd out on wellness and personal growth myself, but I love self-employment and the niche of wellness business clients I support through marketing, operations, and strategy at Avi Fox Creative.
Recently, after doing my Reiki certification and starting to weave that into my repertoire, I’ve been craving more community with other wellness business owners. They’re just the coolest people, in my opinion.
So, yesterday, I spun this all together and hosted a little group I called the Maine Wellness Business Owners Circle.
Wellness business owners are a fun group to gather with because they have a unique awareness of personal growth and health that not everyone has. I thought it would be cool to get everyone together in one space to step back from our businesses, do some big-picture reflection and intention setting, and offer each other peer support.
I was overwhelmed by the response. Dozens of people expressed interest and 13 were able to join us at @EastPine.Maine.
The day included:
- A guided meditation "Vision Quest" I created to facilitate reflection on wins, challenges, and our inspiration for the future.
- Dedicated time for journaling and self-reflection.
- Small group sharing, advice, and peer coaching.
I am so excited that folks found so much value in the gathering ...and are encouraging me to make it an official group and a regular thing! There is definitely energy to do this more...and I'm excited to see where it goes.
Huge thanks to everyone who came together to play in the space with me—and to @EastPine.Maine in Windham for creating this amazing greenhouse where we can literally journey to a tropical setting without leaving Maine.
